"The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more things you learn, the more places you'll go." ~Dr. Seuss
Hello!
My name is Jenny Reeves and I have had the honor of teaching elementary-aged children for close to 20 years. I care deeply about my work and consider guiding, nurturing, and empowering children to be one of the greatest joys and biggest blessings of my life.

I began my teaching career in the Brookline Public Schools after graduating from Providence College. My love for literacy and child development brought me back to western Massachusetts, where I earned my Master’s in Education as a reading specialist. I spent the next ten years in the Springfield Public Schools as both a fourth grade teacher and a literacy coach—roles that deepened my passion for helping students grow as learners and as individuals.

In 2021, I was thrilled to join the fourth grade team at Center School, returning to the classroom in the very town where I grew up. Longmeadow shaped so much of who I am today—it gave me lifelong friends, teachers who nurtured my curiosity, and coaches who taught me the importance of connection and perseverance. Being back in this community, now as an educator, feels like coming full circle, and I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to give back.

Two of my favorite things about teaching are helping children truly believe in their ability to learn anything, and watching their confidence grow as they face and overcome challenges. I also bring my experience as a certified yoga instructor into the classroom, weaving mindfulness and movement into our days to help students build resilience, focus, and calm.

Outside of school, I enjoy writing, practicing mindfulness, and staying active through yoga and running. I love spending time with friends and family, playing cards and games, listening to music, reading both for fun and for learning, exploring new places, and going on walks with Mr. Reeves and our beautiful baby girl, Lily.

One quote that guides both my teaching and my life is:
“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.” – Thích Nhất Hạnh
